hello,
is this a split system, package unit, ptac? or do you hae model number?
use reply please
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's a miller. The A/C unit is on the outside and the furnace is on the inside. I guess it's a split unit.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Would the model number on the inside be the same for the outside unit?
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.
Thank you,
so when in cool and turned down, what runs?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's really strange. The compressor will come on and when it shuts off a few minutes later the fan will come on but they will not come on at the same time. The inside fan is running.

Ok so you mean the OUTDOOR fan in top of the unit is what runs after compressor shuts down?

Ok we have 2 choices....is this a straight ac unit or a heat pump?

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.
Thank you,
The compressor is kicking on but going off on thermal due to no fan..but then fan kicks on.
You will need replace the start capacitor/s in the unit. Especially the fan capacitor.

Is that the round thing.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I tried one that came from a heat pump but it still didn't work.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Are there two capacitors?
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.
You did not supply model number so I do not know if you have 1 or 2....and you cannot use just any cap...it must match the rating on existing...
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'll send you the model number
