Phil. We are looking to replace Goodman part GMT045-3D.

Customer Question

Hi Phil. We are looking to replace Goodman part GMT045-3D. All I find is 3, 3A and 3B. Do you know if those are compatible or make a difference? My AC coil has to be replaced but the Tech said if I found this part I didn't have to replace the whole unit

The technician is throwing curve balls at you... thats a furnace, the last digit is just a drawing revision number. His remark is so far out in left field that I hardly know what to say.
I can say that after 51 years in the business I am able to spot baloney when I see it.
I tend to avoid those types of people entirely, it is likely that the cooling coil does not even need to be replaced.
Tell me a lot about your system, and how old it is.
We can go from there.
