New thermostat and York 104 last spring....2 AA batteries ran

Customer Question

New thermostat and York 104 last spring....2 AA batteries ran down and caused unit to shut down completely. Have replaced batteries and turned electrical box switch off, then back on....even unplugged unit for a few minutes.....all to no avail. How can I get my a/c unit to start again without the expensive call of a service man?
Feel like if it's explained properly how to re-start unit, I can do it myself. PLEASE HELP ME - IT'S HOT AS HELL IN MEMPHIS TN AND I REALLY NEED MY A/C.
THANKS VERY MUCH.

hello, do you mind a short test with the thermostat top section off the wall to where we can see the wires?
