Honeywell TrueDRY DR90 whole house dehumidifier, being run

Customer Question

Honeywell TrueDRY DR90 whole house dehumidifier, being run as a standalone unit. Fan runs but coils do not get cold, and therefore do not condense moisture for removal. Compressor seems to be trying to run and is hot to the touch.

Hello, sounds like the start capacitor is weak or bad and not starting the compressor. This is an easy replacement and a cheap part.
