I have a model 38tdb037-300. Currently the outdoor unit comes on, fan spins once then shuts off. Can this be the fan motor gone bad? Please help its hot in this house and hubby in wheelchair.

no its fine checked that already too. Its a two stage unit

Do you have a volt meter to see if we are getting signal to unit to stay on?

its an infinity with an ECM motor. goes thru circuit board

OK issue is most likely a bad controller on the motor. Testing the ECM motor requires a special toll for diagnosing,so you are probably going to have to call in a tech with this tester. Good news is most of these motors had a 10 year warranty so hopefully will be covered .
