Customer Question

I have a GE AHH40LKG1 dehumidifier. The compressor will not turn on. The controls operate normally (humidity is displayed). I took it apart and the only visual problem I noticed was that the metal grounding plate that weaves between the evaporator coils has completely rusted away and disintegrated. The ground wire is just hanging there, but I doubt that has anything to do with my problem.

The most common issue is the start capacitor.
Have you checked that yet?
