THis is most likely duet o an incorrect setting in setup menu. Did you set thermostat to match your system? What is brand and model on your outdoor unit.I can help you correct this problem.

OK looks like a straight cool (non heat pump ) unit. Tell me what wire syou put where on new thermostat.
