I installed a new goodman air conditioner last year.

Customer Question

I installed a new goodman air conditioner last year. For some reason my suction pressure is lower than normal and my head pressure is higher. Could this be because of the piston? Normally i use txv valve and never have issues.

It very well could be an obstruction at the piston.

Is the indoor coil clean, filter clean and good air flow?
Outdoor coil clean?

If those items are fine then I would say you have a blockage. Did you purge nitrogen while brazing?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Yes sir. Would you suggest pulling out piston, and purging line set again.

Correct..I would pump into system and blow out lines and coil.

Reattach, vauum and let go.

If you really want to go an extra step...reclaim..unhook, purge,,and drop in a new charge.

Check the piston physically to make sure it is not stuck....
