Hi, I'm Brian and I'm here to help!
That is a pickle indeed! I will need a little more info about your system to help you wire your thermostat up.
1) What type of heating cooling system you have. e.g. split heat pump system with or without backup heat, split ac system with electric heat, packaged ac with heat, furnace with ac, boiler with ac, etc...
2)Make and model number (full model number on the data sticker, not series number like XL1400 or Ultra SX etc...) of your indoor unit/furnace/boiler.
3)Make and model of your outdoor ac unit/heat pump.
4) It's best if you can open your unit and either note or snap a picture of how the low voltage wires connect at your indoor unit or packaged unit noting what terminal or wire colors they connect to and post that here.
Thanks, -Brian
