Hello HVAC Techs,

I have a Heil propane furnace that just stopped working. The HVAC tech from my propane company said the blower motor is bad. The furnace was installed in 2009 when the house was built. How can I find out if the motor is covered? I was unable to locate contact numbers for Heil. What is the process for verifying my warranty and starting a warranty claim?

Thank you,
Ken

type2technician :

You need to contact your local RE Michels HVAC supply house.

type2technician :

But you will have to have a licensed contractor to take care of this for you.

type2technician :

RE Michels is a Heil Distributor.

Customer:

Ok.Are they located in Connecticut?

type2technician :

They are a national chain. I am in Atlanta, but I am sure they have a store in connecticut.

Customer:

Do you think the unit is still under warranty

type2technician :

Yes it should be still under warranty. There is a five year warranty on all Heil Equipment.

type2technician :

If it was installed new in 2009, then it should be under warranty until 2014. That is parts only not including labor.

Customer:

I never registered my unit with Heil. Is it worth while registering it?

type2technician :

Even without registering the unit, it still should be covered under the 5 year warranty.

Customer:

Thank you for your help. Have a nice day
