Does your unit light with a pilot light first and then burners....or do you have the ignitor in front of burners that light all at once with no pilot?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

with pilot

Thank you,

so you have glow....does the pilot light?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

pilot lights and burner then goes out and sometimes it doesn't light

Thank you.

Do you have the original Smartvalve in this unit? Starts with SV***
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

far as i know

Thank you.

Just to cover the basic first...when you replace ignitor...was it the sensor/ignitor assembly?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

yes it was

There is an extensive troubleshooting procedure I can supply you with....but odds are that you have a faulty Smartvalve.

This gas valve controls the inducer, the gas, the pilot, flame sense etc with a small circuit board inside the valve.

Unfortunately the smart valve was found to be prone to failure and erratic behavior.
I am certain you will be replacing the valve...which is pricy.

Would you like the troubleshooting guide in case?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

sure if you don't mind that would be great.

The troubleshoot section begins around page 12.

This valve was such a pistol that they make a Smartvalve Tester just for this specific valve.

where can i get one of these valve at a good price on line?

Ebay even has them...Amazon etc.

If you have the exact series number off yours I can take a look

I think if you can source one for around $200 it will be the best you can do unless you find a used or ebay one.
