Hello, what is the age of a direct vented 68,000 BTU input

This answer was rated:

Hello, what is the age of a direct vented 68,000 BTU input natural gas fired warm air furnace manufactured by Williamson S/N B9105421? 1991? Also, a length of the natural gas feed pipe system is galvanized. Is galvanized material proper for natural gas distribution? Thank you, Greg
Hello Greg,

The Williamson used a standard number with no alpha prefix, and it used a number with 2 space alpha prefix. That prefix was commonly CP but was used in the early 2000's.

The numerical designated year by the first 2 digits. Which in this case would be 1991.

As far as the galvanized pipe...all gas pipe INSIDE the home is to black pipe. Only the stub going outside and the exterior pipe is to be galvanized.
