Trying to get my dehumidifier to work as a continuous drain.

This answer was rated:

Trying to get my dehumidifier to work as a continuous drain. Even when the hose is connected it still drains to the bucket. Is there something I need to do to make it switch over?

bryanpaul52 :

do you have a model number ?

Customer: Frigidalre#knd1602033
bryanpaul52 :

that model doesnt come up. when you first hooked this up to the drain did it work ? is this something that just started happening ?

Customer: I tried to find this model on their web site but no luck. Did pull up other models and read how to hook up continuos drain, still drains to bucket.
bryanpaul52 :

okay but did you just hook this up for the first time ?

Customer: Yes it did work at first and through the season.
bryanpaul52 :

have you pulled the bucket and checked for a clog there ?

Customer: I've had to empty the bucket several times when full.
Customer: I have to be off line until tomorrow I'll check for your suggestions at that time. Thanks
bryanpaul52 :

okay take the bucket out and see if you can put a coat hanger through, that should tell you if its blocked by sediment

Customer: When I titled the machine toward the continuous drain it started draining, not sure if it was originally out of level or not. Working now so I'm good. Thanks
