This answer was rated:

I have a white rodgers thermostat
It said batteries were low
I have had it for at least 6 years it was
here when I bought the house
I changed the batteries now all the
reading are off It reads that it is
91 degrees and it is really about 65
I cannot get the heat to come on
because it already thinks it is 91
Help please
To attempt to reset the thermostat hold the up and down arrows AND the Time button all at the same time for a few seconds. IF nothing changes then the thermostat has had it and you will need to replace it. If it starts working correctly then you will need to reprogram it- instructions are readily available on-line by simply searching for the model#.

I think its OK but the temperature

is going up way too fast. I need to

reprogram but don't know how I have

never done anything to it

The heater is on but now says the

temp is 81 I know its not

The t/stat is bad if it is not reading the right room temp- you need a new one. No reprogramming is going to fix this.
