Hello I would check for the 24 volt signal at the gas valve or the gas valve terminals on the module, usually will say MV or PV etc
If you have 24 volts to the gas valve and no amp draw, the gas valve is bad
If you have an amp draw but nothing opens its physically stuck.
If not gas is entering the gas valve you will need to check the meter from the utility, try testing for gas pressure entering the unit.
loosen the flex line and smell for gas flowing.
Its either a gas valve or ignition module assuming the high limit etc are closed, any flame rollouts etc tripped?
It is pretty cut and dry if the limit and any safeties are closed/proven and the 24 volt thermostat signals geting to the board as evidenced by the ignitor, then the gas valves bad or the module this requires a voltmeter to detrmine which is the culprit.
DO YOU KNOW WHERE I WOULD FIND THE FUSIBLE LINK AND LIMIT SWITCH FOR THIS UNIT?
I'M NOT SURE WHERE TO CHECK FOR VOLTAGE. IT HAS A PLUG WITH 5 WIRES
if you can tell me where to check for voltage i will do that.
if there is no voltage does that mean the module is bad?
Hello I need the model # of the TRANE unit to be sure about any fusible link, I don't see many of these on anything but electric heat, they typically will be by the burners as are high limits, the limit is on the wall above the burners and has 2 wires going to it usually if its the rectangular type Tranes usually have, the outputs are on the module but I need specifics to tell you which and where.
Go from the gas valve backwards to the module, you will see the terminals and the 2 or 3 wires going to the gas valve.
Ok I just now saw the model, hold on please, I apologize I was reading the response just after I sent the request for the model!

I did not know this unit had a roll out with this design! This is interesting!
I am researching further,

I am seeing several quirky charecteristics regarding this unit! The "improved" roll out and replacement for the "obsolete" radiant sensing ,
Home > Control Boards > KIT09660 -- IGNITION CONTROL / FLAME SENSOR KIT
WOW, I have never seen so many improved/revised components for 1 model ever!
I am familiar with Tranes too, this is not typical in my experiences with tranes, this unit is particularly troublesome it would appear.
Here is what the limit looks like.
Was there anything else you required?
