I have a GE X13 ECM motor installed in my air handler I cannot

Resolved Question:

I have a GE X13 ECM motor installed in my air handler I cannot afford to replace the motor with the same model. I will have to downgrade to a standard Emerson 1/2 hp motor. How to I convert my unit to accept this motor?

Rick Mather :

You would have to rewire air handler using a fan center relay or contactor to turn on blower when its needed and change motor in blower with multi speed motor, the thermostat wiring would have to accept old wiring if it is not already. Hardware needed would be new blower motor, relay or contactor, transformer 24 vac, and proper thermostat

So i could get it working using a 24 volt contactor?
