pilot light difficult to light on my pyrox vulcan wall furnace, then the pilot light seems to "blow out" when the main burner starts up main burner goes out also.....

If your vent pipe is clogged, it is more of a safety issue than a problem with the furnace.But if you light the pilot and it goes out soon or when you tell the burners to come on, I would recommend to replace the thermocouple. Sounds like it may be weak if the vent pipe is clear.
