I have an older Lenox furnace and the pilot went out durring

Resolved Question:

I have an older Lenox furnace and the pilot went out durring the night. The blower works but the gas is not flowing to the pilot. I can get the pilot to light but when I turn the gas valve to the on position the light goes out. I tried cleaning the flame switch and reinstalled but that has not corrected the broblem. Can you please advise as to how this can be repaired?

Rick Mather :

Change the thermocouple they get weak and can't send proper signal to gas valve to keep gas open
