I have my thermostat set on 70 degrees and the heater won't go above 60 degrees. How do I fix it?

Hi, I'm Douglas and I am here to help you resolve problems with your heating and cooling equipment. We would need to determine if the problem is in the thermostat or in the Furnace. If you can remove the thermostat from the back plate to expose the wiring, you can make a rudimentary jumper from a paper clip and touch one end on the R terminal with the red wire and one end on the W terminal with the White wire and hold it there to see if the furnace comes on. If it does, your thermostat is bad. If it doesnt, then the problem is in your furnace and we have some other tests.Verify power is on to the furnace and the blower door is firmly in place.
