have a coleman furnace... 3 years old green light flashes 3 times furnace will not light. says combustion air switch fails to close. can i repair this myself or do i have to have a repairman? thanks ed

There is a little pie like device that has small rubber tubing from that switch to the flue remove rubber hose and clean both hose and the barbed fittings then try it

we tried that and the heater still would not light.. also for fyi we had our electric breakers off day before yesterday fixing a plug in receptical.. put in a gfi at that plug. after that the heater would not ignite. ...sorry to get back to you so late.... out all day.

yes...tries but burner will not light ... after about a minute it goes off and green light changes from steady green to 3 flashes...

try cleaning the flame sensor with scotch brite or fine steel wool

where would this senser be ... what do to get to the senser... is it by the rubber tubes or down by the gas burner area.

It would be where the pilot light is and senses flame so the main gas flow can open

thank you for the information on the accept button. will try to get to the heater later today. we are managers at a mobile home park and have office hours until 12 but today have a lein sale so will not finish until this afternoon.... will get back to you as soon as i can get a few minutes...
