Hold the reset down for an entire 30 seconds to remove hard lockout. Let me know what happens.

Held button down for 30 seconds. Light went off then came on once at end of 30 seconds and now stays off.

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 7 years ago.
Ok, did you press one more time?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Yes but nothing happened.

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 7 years ago.
Jump T & T on the primary control.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

What is T&T on primary control?

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 7 years ago.
Where you are pushing the reset. There should be a F & F terminal and then T & T terminals.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I don't know what F&F or T&T terminals are, there is only one red reset button under the little green lamp
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 7 years ago.

Don't you have 4wire connections on the box that has the reset button? If not give me the model number of the reset box.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

There is a number on the box. I believe it is R718B.

Going back to basement to check, computer is two floors away.

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 7 years ago.
Sorry to make you run so much
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Its R7184B and there are only two wires on this box.

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 7 years ago.

Ok, here is a tech sheet on the control. This time hold down the button until the box flashes twice. Read this manual

I am reading this, but this is not helping me much. I need some concrete advice on what to do, not tech manuals, unlike you I am not an HVAC expert.

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 7 years ago.
I understand. Do you have a electrical test meter?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Glad your'r getting back to me. I studied the tech manuals etc (I did have a lot of physics classes in high school and college) and after really reading them they no longer sounded Chinese to me. Turns out too much resetting or priming just floods the thing with oil, no wonder it would not light. So I did the only smart thing I could do, turn it off again over night and turn it back on in the morning. Got it working fine now, did not need any more priming either.

Thank you for the literature, I will keep them on hand for further reference, you saved me an expensive service call.

Excellent! If you had physics in college you are smarter than I am!

I thank you.
