Hi - my furnace fan keeps starting and stopping on its own

Hi - my furnace fan keeps starting and stopping on its own - even if I have the thermostat in the off position. I disconnected the thermostat to see if it was causing the problem but the fan came on anyway. Will I need a tech to come out on this one?
Either your fan control wiring is shorted to the power side of the control wiring or you have a relay problem.

I would recommend getting a technician out because wiring problems can really give some trouble even to trained techs.
