What is the average wattage of a residential gas furnace?

If this is just a furnace then all you have is a small transformer and the blower 
Most of the time it will be less than 10 amps so it would be safe to say less than 1000 watts.

Yeah it's just a gas furnace. We are expecting some bad weather here in Seattle and I'm concerned about power outages. I have two small children and a 3500 watt generator, so I was just curious about the wattage of the furnace to see if my generator would work
