Recent Horse Management Questions

Hello,
I keep my horse at a small four stall barn
and pay dry board.
It is less than a mile from my house and is the only
place like it near me.
I want to do all of her daily needs, so it is perfect.
The other stalls are usually empty or a hay stall.
She has the in and out stall off a small pasture almost
an acre. The adjoining paddock has two of the owners
horses and they have never asked to use my space.
Occasionally a sick or injured horse is brought down to
stay in a stall to recuperate.
This past weekend a horse had to be euthanized.
I was gone over the weekend and just found out it was buried
in my pasture ! I walked to the other side on a hunch and sure
enough saw the fresh dirt.
They have other large pastures, but I guess they did not want to walk
it anywhere. It was a loss of vision issue so could walk fine.
I would have walked it up the road to the large pastures if they would have asked
and circled all day if I had to or even paid for removal.
They said they put my horse in her stall and shut the door, but horses
must know one second the horse is there and the next it is not.
Also, can't they smell the horse for a time ?
My horse is already a nervous Arabian and I try very hard to give her
a secure feeling about her life.
Now we will be doing ground work 50 feet from a dead horse !!!
So, should I say nothing ?
Say please don't do this again and we can work something out ?
I always ask them to let me know if someone will be moving large equipment
in there, etc. No call.

Hello, I just bought a 4yr old tennessee walker gelding. He has the best manners and is very well behaved......problem, all he wants to do is lay down in pasture. His vital signs are good,his gums are nice and pink, theres no nasal drainage, he eats, poops, drinks, and does well on lunge line. When ridden, though, if HE decides to stop, he wont budge....no amount of coaxing, turning back and forth or using crop will make him move......i swear i bought a mule in walker clothing...LOL! I live in south east Pa., and he came from Shenandoah Pa., is he in an adjustment period? Could there be an underlying problem? Or is it a sign of laziness? Hes 15 hands.

i have a racehorse that has got off her feed alot. stall is very wet in the mornings those are the only symptoms,still racing well,gave her this week off from racing ,i was worried about her. lori in ny
