How often should you rewrap a leg wound that has a small pocket, no infection? Should I not wrap it and leave it to heal with wound spray on it?

Already Tried:
Vet came and looked at it and said no infection but put the filly on anibiotics for a while anyway. She wrapped it and said stall rest for 2 weeks.

JJ-DVM :

Hi, if the filly will keep the wrap on, I'd recommend keeping it wrapped as long as there's a pocket and the edges are healing together, changing it every 2-3 days at first (can wait longer like up to 5 days if it's a small wound, the bandage stays clean, and the wound is pretty dry and not oozing much). This would probably end up being about two weeks for a small wound. Approximately how long is the wound? If she won't keep the bandage on, then wound spray and leaving it open should be fine. The wrap would help keep it from scaring and keep dirt and bacteria out. But if it's small and she's already on antibiotics prophylactically, then infection will be less of a concern.
