We had pocupine quills removed from his ankle, couldn't get

Customer Question

We had pocupine quills removed from his ankle, couldn't get all of them, vet said they'd work their way out. He then became sore, ankle swollen, vet put him on antibiotics and wrapped it. He is no longer sore, but his ankle is swollen and hard. What should I do?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the horse's name and age?
Customer: Tobasco, yearling standardbred
JA: How old is Tobasco?
Customer: yearling
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Tobasco?
Customer: no
