I have a horse that has swollen eyes shut and puss running

Customer Question

I have a horse that has swollen eyes shut and puss running out of them. I rinsed them out good but live too far out to get to vet tonight.

Greetings, and thanks for the question.
Ouch!, it sounds as if Man's eyes are hurting, otherwise he wouldn't be holding them shut. IS this something that has just occurred suddenly, or has it been progressing for awhile?
Is Man eating/drinking, etc. normally? Does he object when you touch his eyes?
What you've been doing so far sounds great, but it's unfortunate that there isn't a Vet close by.
I'll be looking for you getting back to me, and hopefully get N=Man some type of relief tonight.
-Dan C.
