My pony has hard lumps on its hind shins. Looks like callouses. No weeping. Pony seems to have trouble walking. No sign of obvious pain. Feet or hoofs are cool and no sign of problems there. Only thing out of the ordinary is these limps on his hind legs. Any advice would be appreciated.Mike

Applied pressure up and down all legs and hips and Bach and stomach looking for signs of pain or discomfort but didn't seem to cause any?

Same, still has trouble walking.
This look to me like a very aggressive fungal infection.Next step would be to have your bet come take a biopsy to confirm diagnosis. And if confirmed start on anti fungal treatment . In this case potassium iodide and probably fluconazol.Please avoid touching him without gloves as there is a small risk this could be contagious to other horses And humans.
Do you have a veterinarian available tO take the biopsy?
