The low end dose would be 5.5 mls so 7 mls is the correct dose. It can be given every 12 hours as needed if you are seeing signs of infection. The duration depends on how fast the infection clears up. It may take 5-7 days. They usually get pretty unhappy about the needles by that point. The injections should be rotated as well so one spot does not get sore.
