2005 hybrid 5 mo old 12 batt, 10 degree weather, no start, recharge yesterday, dead batt today...recgarge, start, run batt gauge up to 80%, something draining??
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: 40 freeway miles 2 hrs ago, lights- yes, batt at 12,18 volts, outside temp 33 degrees
JA: What is the model of your '05 Honda?
Customer: civic hybrid
JA: Are you fixing your Civic Hybrid yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: repl batt last sept, as daily driver 50 miles/day 4 days week, flat batt three times;, terminals are clean and coated, ground cable clean at chassis bolting location, no other changes

Have you had the 12 volt battery tested? Just because it is 5 months old does not mean that it could not be defective.
