You could have a vacuum leaking causing the high idle. Check for codes first looking for a lean code. You can also find vacuum leaks by spraying carb cleaner while the engine is at idle, if the rpm drops you found a leak. Also another common problem for this is a dirty throttle body or a idle air control valve that is sticking because of carbon or a faulty IAC valve.
