JA: Has the vehicle ever overheated? And when was it last serviced?
Customer: It overheated on the day of failure...was serviced two months ago

ok, it may or may not have bent the valves. I would get a belt, install it on the pulleys and then perform a compression test. that will verify if you have damaged valves.
