Hello my name is***** am an ASE Master Technician and I am glad to help you out with your question.
It goes on the negative battery terminal, and makes it easy to disconnect the battery.
You will need to remove the ground cable, you may need some electrical crimps and a pliers to crimp the connectors. Soldering these would also work with heat shrink tubing.
You will be cutting the ground cable and splicing the switch inline. You then add the crimps and tighten down the nuts on the isolator switch.
