I just replaced a 2002 Honda Civic 4dr EX 1.7L VTEC

Customer Question

I just replaced a 2002 Honda Civic 4dr EX 1.7L VTEC Engine/Auto Trans BMXA. Installed a 2004 1.7L with SLXA Trans. Engine runs fine but P0740 Solenoid code and Flashing D indicator in Dash Cluster. I read the shift pattern complaints. The Trans almost slips and appears to be in second gear (limp mode). Bangs into gear. I swapped and installed BMXA solenoid pack. No change. Did I get a bad Trans?

The Engine labors taking off as if trans is fighting 2 gears.
