I have 2003 honda crv with new lower control arms, new ball

Customer Question

I have 2003 honda crv with new lower control arms, new ball joints new struts that are completely new from top to bottom new outer tie rods no inside tie rod movement.
When I first start off in drive wheels shake in and out at low speed in first gear after it shifts to second gear tires do not shake. Tires, rims and alignment are good vehicle goes straight down road with no steering wheel shaking and has 9-3 position. Should there be any play in rack itself. With steering wheel locked into locking position I do see a little movement in rack wherei inner tie rod shafts bolt to rack. Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome! My name isCustomerand I can assist you with your question. The answer is no, there should be no play or movement in the rack and pinion itself or tie rods If so, then they are bad and will need to be replaced.
