Customer Question

Are there adjustments that can be made to what makes the transmission shift into gear(takes 2-5 secs for tranny to shift from R to D, etc.)? Along with the way it shift as you drive down the road? We a have 07 Honda Ody EX, that's had its share of issues, especially in this area. Torque Convertor has been replaced after the dealership finally admitted there was a problem....but tranny still doesn't seem quite right. The 4Runner we had previous to this Odyessy, the torque convertor screwed up the tranny ending up having to replace both. Which is what I think problem is...

Yes when the torque converter was replaced they should of replaced the ECM and reprogrammed it was this done?

Customer replied316 days and 4 hours ago.

Not sure. Not that I'm aware of or can remember but, I can check the service tech that we always see @ dealership to check the service history notes. Would the ECM have something to do with it since it's 'drive-by-wire'(so I was told)?

This needs to be checked this is all electronically controlled no wires. The ECM can be programmed also to reset the shift points also . This should of been done at the dealer .These are the next steps. Hoped this helped . Bonuses greatly appreciated. Please click excellent service so I get credit for my help thanks . Anything lower is negative feedback . If you need further assistance please let me know thanks !

Would/could resetting the shift points improve/resolve the time/delay it takes for tranny to go into gear? Is the 'ECM programming' an costly procedure?
