Two common causes of creaking in the front end - balljoints and control arm bushings, both of which should be inspected.

If you are fairly handy, you can check yourself. Jack front end up so front tires are about 2" off the ground. Have a helper use a long prybar to slip between each tire and ground and lift up on tire while you watch the balljoint. If more than 1/16" movement, replace balljoint. For control arm bushings, remove tires and inspect the bushings for space between them and the control arm, as well as being dried out or cracked or pieces missing and replace as required.
