Hello let me help you with any of your Honda problems.
The first thing that came to mind was the ANC when you were describing your problem.
what is the and??
Let me pull that bulletin for you real quick.
whats the possibility of it being the electronic motor mounts?
Active Noise Control.......basically uses the audio system to cancel out road noise by sending certain frequencies to the speakers. When the unit malfunctions it send the wrong frequency which causes the speakers to have a real low tone that is heard.
but this is actually something louder and stronger, i actually feel it in the steering wheel
Ok that does sound like motor mounts that are grounding out......the ANC noise is just heard in the cabin of the vehicle.
ok, bc i actually feel this vibrating
between those two things, what else is a possibility?
I would suspect that a motor mount is collapsing and causing this but to be sure you need to have the mounts inspected and see if one of the mounts has broken or collapsed.
It really sounds like a motor mount from the description about the vibration felt in the steering wheel.
also i only always get 23.4 or 24 max miles to the gallon on the high and no check engine light comes on, what can i do to check or what can i replace to improve my gas mileage or get it back to what is supposed to be since its a hybrid, and i always drive slow
There is also a bulletin for the intermediate shaft heat shield that will loosen up over time but that is more of a rattle and will not cause the vibration......it really sounds like a mount collapsing and causing a noise when the top part of the mount comes in contact with the bottom part.
Spark plugs are due at 105K and may help with fuel mileage....also check the air filter and a good fuel injection cleaning will help. These items will not get you a lot better fuel mileage but will help.
I would also have a dealer inspect the state of charge on the IMA battery module because as they deteriorate it will result in a loss of fuel mileage.
ok sounds great, would you also recomend that a cold air intake would help also? and where do i go, to see the bulletins?
what fuel injection cleaning brand do you recommend for honda's
i also read something online about software upgrades, is that something my honda or a honda needs ?
I don't think a cold air intake would help much but it could help a slight bit. Sea Foam is a good brand to use for injector cleaning and is what I recommend.
awesome all your information has been great.. thanks, XXXXX XXXXX accept
Yes there are software updates that are available but you will have to have the dealer check for those updates using the Honda scan tool. If there are updates available they can update the software for you which also may help fuel mileage.
No problem at all. Any other questions for me?
let me think
at what milage is it recommended that i change my timing belt?
Honda recommends it to be replaced at 105K.
or 7 years whichever come first.
can you send me the link for the bulletins
