1991 honda accord lx. Right rear brake not coming on. And the rear trunk break light isn't working also. New brake light switch/ New bulbs in the rear. Running lights work on that side as well as the turn signal.
Hello!Do you know if it is missing power or ground?
I have power because the double filament bulb works when the running are on.
Can you tell me what color wire has power on it?
give me one second
I have 10volts on the red wire with the black stirp. I have an open on the black wire. Plus there is no continuity to ground on the black wire. I thought the wires were hooked in series?
IS this a coupe, sedan or a wagon?
sedan
Excellent!both right rear brake lights should have ground going to them on the black wire. The right brake light on the trunk lid should have power on the green/red wire with the brake pedal pushed and the other rear brake light should have power going to it on the green/white wire with the brake pedal pushed.
O.k I will try running a ground wire to the black wire that is not on the trunk light. If it gets too late I will leave this conversation opern till tomorrow and I will let you know how I made out
Thanks for the accept! Also, just for grins, check to be sure that the center mount stop lamp is working inside the vehicle. There is a brake light sensor that powers all three of these bulbs up. But if your sure there is power, this brake light sensor should be good.
