I have a 2005 Honda Accord and my IMA light and Check Engine Lights are on. I have 135,000 miles on my car. I'm guessing this means that my IMA battery is gone and I will need to replace it. Any estimates on the cost of this. I live in Illinois. Any warranty available in Illiniois for the IMA batttery?

To know for sure, you will need to have the diagnostic trouble codes pulled. Your guess and my assumption are probably correct though. You probably have a bad IMA Battery. Your IMA warranty lasted for 8 years 80,000 miles. I recomend you to call American Honda Customer Service at XXX.XXX.XXXX and maybe they will be able to assist you in the cost of the battery replacement. If you are a good service customer, alot of times they will goodwill warranty the battery. Sometimes splitting the cost or paying for part and customer pays labor. If not, depending on the dealership's rate, it's around 3000 dollars.
