2000 Honda Civic - Alarm goes off as soon as the battery is connected. The remote cannot turn it off, and we cannot start the car with the alarm going off. Is there any way to disconnect the alarm? A fuse or something?
Country: United StatesMake: HondaModel: CivicYear: 2000 Already Tried: Tried starting the car to see if the alarm would shut off, car would not start. Tried using the remote to shut the remote off, would not work. Tried the button located next to the fuse box below the steering wheel(I'm assuming the reset button for the alarm), Did not work.
try putting the key into the driver's door lock and turn to unlock. the alarm should go off
Ok, I will go try that right now
ok let me know
Battery died over night, we have to jump it again. Last time we tried this we had to disconnect the battery to charge it because as soon as we attached the jumper cables to the other car the alarm started going off.
If I use the key in the door lock when that happens, should it still work?
Yes charge the battery with the cables disconnected and then when you hook it back up then put the key in the drivers door. Alarm should go offHONDASERVICE779140842.6663582986
