The dealer does have the proper equipment to repair your SRS problem. If the vehicle has not been in an accident you may be looking at something like a bad switch in the drivers seat belt buckle. If the buckle is faulty this should be a no charge repair in the USA since there is a lifetime warranty on the seat belts.
srs is related to seat belt buckle?
are you there
Yes, I am here. The seat belt buckles are part of the SRS system. They have what is called a pretensioner in them and also a switch that tells the SRS control unit the belt is buckled. If the switch goes bad the SRS light will come on. The switch is part of the buckle.
How much dealer charge, any idea
Can't tell unless I knew the exact problem. If it is the buckle though it should be no charge to you.
I need to do emission test for my this car. Is they look at srs light & fail in test
Not if it is just an emissions test and not a state safety inspection
do you know srs code to reset that light
You would need a special tool to reset the light.
I'll give that code to any local shop mechanics & he can reset light
nThe shop that told you to take it to a dealer should know how to reset it. If there is a problem though the light will not stay out.
what is your suggesion, need to go to dealer or,....
my suggestion would be to see your local Honda dealer.
Thanks for your help & I accept
