2007 honda odyssey 24k check engine light on code P1717. Transmission dashbord green indicator light blinking i have honda care service contract. This van has transmission recall service #09-053 update on 5/20/10 please help Henry.

Hello, I can assist you with this. The code P1717 is relating to a problem in the shift position indicator switch. That is the part that tells the computer which gear ( P, R ,D N ect.) you have selected. It could be a problem with the switch, a wire connection or the adjustment of the switch. Not related to the update , but since this is a power train issue it will still be covered under warranty unless you have over 60,000 miles on the van.
