2002 Civic Si / 60K / Codes P1259 and P0219. I get a jerky hesitation at while mildly accelerating...its never done this before.
OK this is a code for the vtec system.First what will cause this is low oil level.If the oil level is low make sure its correct .If then there is still an issue the problem is the Vtec solenoide and Vtec pressure switch have failed.These will cause these symptoms.Number 13 and 7 in the diagram.
It was about 1/3 of a quart low. Is this enough to trigger the code? Should I diconnect the battery to reset and see if it comes back? Whats up with the VW code P0219?
Along the same lines:
I have always used a synthetic oil and it looses maybe a quart between changes...plus it gets dark. It's only got 60K on it and Hnve have gaskets and seals replaced and have had the engine flushed at least once a year. The engine is immaculant, no drips underneath, no noticable smoke, just al little residue on the exhaust tips. Any thoughts?

No that should not affet it it would need to be at least a quart low.Most likley are the fauly Vtec pressure switch and solenoide .As for the p0219.P0219 Engine Overspeed Conditiondue to the failing sensors giving the ecm the wrong signal.Hoped all this helped.Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated.
