if im getting a 9 flash on my D4 light what is wrong? how can i fix it?
Expert:  George H. replied 6 years ago.
Does your spedometer work correctly?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

Well it use to but i put after market (indaglow) gauge faces on all of them and they havent worked right since..

But before i did that my light was flashing sometimes and everything was still working right i could only notice a lil change in sound just before the light would start flashing it felt like it was shifting into over drive on the freeway then the light would start flashing.

I hope this helps.

The code is for the countershaft speed sensor on the transmission, The connector, the wiring or the sensor is failing so if you have an Ohmmeter you can measure the sensor (400 ohms) or just replace it

Here is the location of the sensor

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

The location picture did not come through. I think it is just below the thermostat.

Did you click on the "view full image" link below the diagram? Yes it is the one below the thermostat on the rear of the transmission
