Hi, I can help. To clear this, disconnect the battery for 2-3 minutes, then reattach it.

The radio will accept the code then.

If you dont have the code let me know.

Hi John

The radio currently displays ERROR E not CODE. Will CODE appear after I disconnect the battery for 3 minutes so I can then put my 5 digit number in to reset the radio? The radio currently will not accept the 5 digit code while it currently displays the message ERROR E.

Expert:  John G. replied 7 years ago.

Yes, the error e means the wrong code was entered too many times and no more attempts are accepted.

Disconnecting it will reset the radio so that it will accept the code.
