what kind of sound does it make? One solid click?

have you tried to turn the motor over by hand?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Hey Steve

no it doesnt make a click. the starrter spins but not the motor. Yes the motor spins by hand. and the battery is fully charged.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I thought the starter was bad. The starter was spinning but not the motor, so i changed the starter and it makes the same noise. The starter spins fast and lound.

Take the starter back out and inspect the ring gear teeth, the teeth should not look sharp and thin. You could try to turn the motor a little bit using a 19mm wrench on the power steering pully and try to start it again. If it cranks then you know you have a bad ring gear which is part of the torque convertor on an automatic
