The vin plate usually has that info and can be found on the steerig neck of the frame. It's usually black and has the year in a bold font. Let me know if you need more help.

Would the vin plate also have engine specs? If the vin plate has been removed is there any other method of determining the data?

At the base of the cylinder head usually on the left side the engine block will say it's CC size. Like if the bike was a 600 it would say 599cc stamped into the alum.

Check both sides where the cylinder head meets the block and you should find it.
