Disconnect the negative battery cable. If so equipped, disable the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
On1990-93 Accords, remove the steering wheel.
Unplug the ignition switch connector.
Insert the key and turn it to the O position.
If present, remove the tape on the switch wires. .
Remove the two screws securing the switch, then remove the switch.

Make certain the recess of the switch aligns with the tab of the lock housing. Insert the switch and install the retaining screws.
If applicable, install the switch cover and retape the wires.
Remove the key.
Connect the wiring harness to the ignition switch.
Reinstall the steering column covers.
Install the steering wheel or any other applicable trim panels.
If applicable, enable the SRS.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Ignition Key Cylinder:
Remove ignition switch as describedRemove key light case from lock body, if equipped. Place ignition lock in the I position. Insert suitable punch into hole on lock cylinder housing and depress pin, then remove lock cylinder from housing.
