Hello. I'll be happy to assist you. Question 1: Identify two popular multivitamin formulas and list the ingredients of each: (1) PRENATAL GUMMY MULTIVITAMINS. Ingredients: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Iron, Zinc, Choline, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, glucose syrup, sucrose, gelatin, natural flavors, citric acid, colors, lactic acid and fumaric acid. (2) DISNEY COMPLETE MULTIVITAMIN GUMMIES. Ingredients: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B 12, Biotin, Pantothenic ACid, Iodine, Zinc, Choline, Inositol. Question 2: While many of the ingredients are in fact the same, the first set of vitmins contain Omega 3 Fatty Acids, and assorted fillers (glucose syrup, etc.) which are not contained in the childrens vitamins. Oftentimes ingredients are included together, for example when they work in concert in the body or the absorption of one is assisted by the presence of the other in the body. At other times they are found together because the play a similar or complimentary role (for example, Vitamin C and zinc both work together to fight infection in the body). Question 3: Depending on who the target audience is - here women who are pregnant or wish to become pregnant, in one set of vitamins, and children, in the other set of vitamins, the manufacturer will determine how to market the vitamins (for example, Cars or Disney Princesses on the children's vitamins). Also, these two populations would require different types and certainly different amounts of similar nutrients so the manufacturers would market that appropriately. A an example, the prenatal gummies specifically reference Omega 3 fatty acids (DHA) and folic acid on the front side while the kids gummies point out that there's 33% less sugar.
